DISCOVERED ISLANDS

Five thematic and interactive exhibition spaces complete the aircraft collection.
Be a player in your discovery, experiment, test via manips, simulators, quizzes!

THE ISLAND "BEHIND THE SCENES"

Go behind the scenes of an airplane trip thanks to this fun and interactive journey!
Discover all the stages that you don't usually see, from the preparation of the flight and the plane to the pilot's guidance on the arrival tarmac, through air traffic control, cabin pressurization or international aeronautical language.

THE ISLAND “LES AERO TRADES”

This thematic space presents a selection of aeronautical professions, both in the field of industry (painter, fitter adjuster, method preparer, structural engineers ...) and in operation (maintenance mechanic, traffic agent, controller air…).

Manips, quizzes, samples allow you to touch the finger with certain know-how of the fascinating professions of aeronautics.

THE ISLAND “ASSEMBLE AN AIRPLANE”

Discover the main parts of an airplane and the different assembly phases. Via touch screens, select the elements necessary to create your plane, choose the colors of your company and try to make it take off!

THE “MECHANICAL FLIGHT” ISLAND

Take a seat on a simulator and explore the flight controls, control surfaces and aircraft movements!
How does an airplane fly?
This thematic space explains to you what the roll, the pitch or the yaw are in a fun way.
In addition, a fresco retraces the evolution of flight controls throughout history.

THE ISLAND “AERONAUTICAL ARCHEOLOGY”

Aeronautical archeology, a discipline in full swing, allows to uncover the vestiges of a missing plane and thus lift the veil on its pilot and its mission.
An interdisciplinary approach by the Aérocherche association enables the investigation to be carried out and the findings to be shared with the families of descendants who are at the very least moved.
Models, original parts, photographs and personal objects of crew members supported by interactive devices immerse visitors in the worlds of pilots of flying machines such as the D .520, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Ju 88 or the Laté 298 without forget the P51 Mustang of Chuck Yeager and his machine gun.

THE ISLAND "PROJECTION TOWARDS THE FUTURE"

Designed by Airbus, this thematic space in the shape of a futuristic igloo is dedicated to aeronautical innovation.
Through the documentary "The Future by Airbus", discover how the European leader in civil and military aviation anticipates and designs the planes of tomorrow today.
Advanced technologies and scientific excellence are thus used to meet the major challenges of environmental protection, mobility, defense, safety and security.
